Strong and light: The strength-to-weight ratio of titanium is unbeatable, Ti is about 45% lighter than steel on average and Ti has more tensile strength than steel in general. Heavy duty, but not heavy.
Flexible: The rectangular cross section of the shackle and relative ductility of Ti makes the shackle flexible. The tensile strength of titanium withstands repeated flexion over time without fatigue failure.
Hard to break: The tensile strength of titanium resists common tensile force attacks. Tensile force attacks include leverage, torsion and cutting attacks with typical bike thief tools.
Durable: Titanium is highly corrosion resistant making it well suited for extended use out of doors in harsh environments.
Versatile: The long flexible shackle can secure both wheels to a bike rack, or lock several bikes together.
Portable: The bow-shaped shackle can wrap along the top tube of a bike frame so it can blend in with the bike and be there when you need it.
Secure: The high quality seven-disc disc detainer disc lock mechanism is resistant to bumping and picking attack. Picking requires specialized tools and expertise.

LOCK MECHANISM MAINTENANCE RECOMENDATIONS
Flush the lock mechanism with WD-40 from time-to-time and/or as needed. The more use and/or exposure to dust and dirt, the more frequent.
Use lock-specific lubricants when lubricating locks.
Can I lock both wheels on my bike? Yes if the shortest distance from the rim of the front wheel to the rim of the rear wheel is less than 21 inches (533mm)
Can I strap it to the top tube of my bike? Yes if your top tube is straight and doesn’t have cables routed along the sides.
Will it scratch my bike? The clear plastic coating on the shackle and included silicon o-rings help protect the frame from scratches.
How secure is the TiGr bow-lock? More security than any cable lock or lite folding lock because it is very hard to break with hand tools. Comparable to popular bicycle chain locks and bicycle u-locks. Please see the lock testing page for more information.
